Terry Ronald: Book & Songs

Terry is a writer, composer, producer, and vocal arranger whose career spans music, theatre, literature, and television.

His debut novel, Becoming Nancy, was Shortlisted for the Polari First Book Prize, and adapted into a musical by Tony-winning director Jerry Mitchell. After its 2019 premiere at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre, Terry joined the creative team, co-writing seven new songs for its 2024 UK debut at the Birmingham Rep. The show earned nightly standing ovations and rave reviews.

Terry broke into the music scene in 1990 with the album Roma and the European Top 10 hit Calm the Rage. His 1991 #1 club anthem What The Child Needs cemented his reputation as a songwriter and producer, leading to collaborations with Dannii Minogue, Kim Wilde, Kylie Minogue, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Girls Aloud. As a vocal arranger, he’s worked with Pharrell Williams, The Saturdays, and Westlife, and was integral to Girls Aloud’s live tours and TV appearances.

Terry co-wrote musical numbers for the BBC’s Beautiful People and was the vocal arranger for the 2007 West End revival of Rent. He co-created The Hurly Burly Show, a burlesque musical comedy that played West End and international stages. Other credits include Orchid, a Miami-based musical extravaganza, and Viva La Drag, which toured UK theatres. Terry’s bittersweet one-woman musical, Some Girl I Used to Know starring Denise Van Outen, toured the UK before a West End run in 2014.

An accomplished author, Terry has collaborated on 18 best-selling celebrity memoirs, including Coleen Rooney, Alfie Boe, and Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding.

Ian Masterson : Music & Songs

Ian graduated from Cambridge University in 1996 and has worked as a composer, songwriter and producer for over 20 years.

For television Ian has scored many hit comedy series, including The Windsors, Absolutely Fabulous, Boomers, Some Girls, The Job Lot and Beautiful People. He has also scored over 30 documentaries for BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky, from the seminal Jump London / Jump Britain parkour films to Panorama and Hansa Studios: By The Wall. He is currently the music producer on BBC Strictly Come Dancing.

Ian scored the opening film for the Paralympics Opening Ceremony in 2012 and has worked extensively in live event and concert production. He was music producer for The Coronation 60th Anniversary Concerts at Buckingham Palace in 2013, which was broadcast across the world by the BBC, and recently produced Bananarama's hugely popular reunion tour.

As a songwriter, producer or remixer he has worked with a huge variety of chart-topping acts, including Pet Shop Boys, Paul Oakenfold, Bananarama, Dannii Minogue, Kylie Minogue, Sophie-Ellis Bextor, Girls Aloud, Geri Halliwell, Belinda Carlisle and Saint Etienne.

Steve Anderson : Music & Songs

Steve is best known for his work with Kylie Minogue having been her Musical Director since 1998 working on every tour and appearance including “Showgirl”, “Aphrodite – Les Folies”, The Olympics , her Vegas residency “Voltaire” and her iconic performance at Glastonbury. He has also worked as Musical Director for Westlife, Steps, Little Mix and Leona Lewis as well as the orchestral spectaculars “80s Classical” and “Lush Classical” with long term collaborator and arranger Cliff Masterson. He was also one half of the legendary dance production and remix duo Brothers In Rhythm with DJ Dave Seaman.

He has produced, written and remixed songs for artists including Kylie, Take That, Delta Goodrem, Britney Spears, Susan Boyle, Westlife, The Pet Shop Boys, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Luke Evans and Paul McCartney. Stage credits include the Jerry Mitchell directed “Becoming Nancy” at The Birmingham Rep , The West End production of “Rent”, “Some Girl I Used To Know” starring Denise Van Outen and the fabulous burlesque extravaganza “The Hurly Burly Show”.

He is currently working on Kylie’s forthcoming ‘Tension World Tour”.

Katy is musical supervisor, musical director, arranger and producer, known for her work in the theatre in the UK and beyond. She was a member of the original creative team for SIX the musical, and was the original ‘Joan’ and musical director, and now is the UK musical supervisor for SIX, as well as helping to mount productions worldwide including Japan, Korea, and Australia. Other stage credits include  Your Lie In April (Harold Pinter Theatre), Bonnie & Clyde (Garrick Theatre and UK Tour), Standing At The Sky’s Edge (Gillian Lynne Theatre). She is soon to be musical director for Shucked at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. 

Katy Richardson: Musical Director

Brian is a theatre-maker, dramaturg and facilitator working across genres. His writing has been seen at Theatre503, Battersea Arts Centre, the Yard, the Omnibus, Camden People's Theatre, the Orange Tree and the V&A Museum, where his libretto for Alex Mills's opera Leonardo was presented in 2019. Brian is a long-time associate with the NT Learning Department, leading playwriting work for young people, and teaches the Advanced Playwriting Workshop at City Lit. He works frequently with community groups to co-create theatre pieces, most recently 2024’s Echoes Through Time (Hoxton Hall), about the history of Britain’s care system, and The Promise (2025) with director Tian Brown-Sampson, an immersive performance about the Home Office’s ‘Windrush’ scandal. He's currently co-writing the book & lyrics for a new musical in development with Tom Rasmussen, Fin Henderson & Adam Zmith about the LGBT community response to the 1984 raids on Gay's the Word bookshop. Brian Mullin: Dramaturgy/Direction

Kevan is a creative director and choreographer who has an extensive body of work across theatre, screen, the commercial sector and music industry where he has worked with Kylie Minogue and Tom Jones amongst others. Theatre credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (World Tour/DVD); The Taming of the Shrew (RSC/UK/ US Tour); For Tonight (Adelphi Theatre); Chess in Concert (Royal Albert Hall/DVD). Screen work includes 13 going on 30; Chicken Little; America’s Got Talent; Jane & Friends; Strictly Dance Fever; So You Think You Can Dance; The Graham Norton Show; Over the Rainbow; Any Dream will Do; I’d Do Anything; Popstars.
